Sherleen Emmanuel is a 13-year-old violinist from Jakarta who studies under the tutelage of Giovani Biga. In addition to the violin, she is currently studying piano with Carla Suharto
In 2024, she won 1st place at the UPH Violin Competition. She was the Grand Prize Winner of Gabriel Fauré Music World Competition. She received a Bronze Award at the Singapore International Music Competition. In 2025, she was named Second Prize winner at the Gold International Classical Music Competition.
In 2022, she earned Second Prize at the Indonesia Young Musician Organization and a Gold Medal at the Indonesia International Young Musician Award.
Sherleen has played with the Jakarta Youth Orchestra at Aula Simfonia Jakarta under Eunice Tong since 2023. She joined the Concordia Orchestra Community in 2023 and became one of the concertmasters in 2024 and 2025.
In December 2024, Sherleen performed as a soloist in Symphonic Saga with the Jakarta Concert Orchestra under the baton of Avip Priatna, playing a piece from Hunter x Hunter.
Other than competitions and performances, Sherleen actively explores various musical styles and learning opportunities. In July 2021, she joined the Baroque Virtual Session hosted by the Benedetti Foundation, where Rachel Podger was one of the key speakers. In February 2023, she participated in a Baroque workshop led by Aryo Bimo, organized by the Jakarta Conservatory of Music. In April 2025, she joined a masterclass with Natalie Ming–I Tsai, followed by another masterclass in June 2025 with Professor Xiaoqing Yu, both held by the Jakarta Conservatory of Music.
